Michael A. Durant became associated with the firm in 2001.  Mike graduated from Florida State University in 1980 with a degree in criminology and a minor in economics.  He graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 1984 and began his legal career in Jacksonville, Florida.  Since moving to Naples in 2001, he has concentrated his practice on real estate transactions in both commercial and residential properties as well as commercial lending. 

In 2007, Mike became Board Certified in Real Estate Law by the Florida Bar.  He has an AV, Pre-Eminent rating with Martindale Hubbell, which indicates very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards based on the confidential opinions of members of the Bar. 
Professionally, Mike is a member of the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, Collier County Bar Association and Real Estate Section.  He regularly gives seminars to realtors and lawyers regarding issues in real estate contracts, transactional closings and mortgage lending. 

Civically, Mike is very active in local, state and world non-profit organizations.  He has been a longtime volunteer and sponsor of St. Mathews House, The Immokalee Foundation, the 100 Club, Junior Achievement, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Tumaini Fund, USA and Mission of Hope.  He was an original founder, counsel and Director of the Seminole Club of Naples where he is Director again. Additionally, he is active in his church and Diocese where he is the Vice Chancellor to the Bishop for the Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida and an active member of Trinity by the Cove Episcopal Church having served as Warden of the church Vestry.  He is currently the Co-chair of the Disaster Response Mission Team. 

Mike and his wife, Sandy, have three daughters, Avery, Alyssa and Madeline.
